AS Media Studies is accredited

Our AS Media Studies specification is now accredited by Ofqual, ready for first teaching in September 2017.

We've worked with media teachers and subject experts to create a qualification that contains engaging and relevant topics and themes, and gives you the freedom to create lessons that will inspire and motivate all your students. You and your students will find this qualification a natural progression from the GCSE Media Studies specification.

Resources designed to support your teaching

Resources available include:

  • Close Study Products booklet (available on e-AQA in Secure Key Materials)
  • Non-exam assessment materials (specimen student and teacher booklets)
  • NEA exemplars (available on e-AQA in Secure Key Materials)
  • AS NEA briefs for submission in 2018 (now live on e-AQA in Secure Key Materials). Please note that these briefs are the same as the specimen briefs that are published on the website and they will change every year.

Gain access to Secure Key Materials

We upload resources that need to remain secure onto e-AQA. This is where you will find Secure Key Materials and the Close Study Products booklet in full.

If you don’t have access to Secure Key Materials, simply register online and your request will go to your e-AQA administrator (usually an Exams Officer, who would have registered your school or college). Once you have your login details, you can begin to explore what we have to offer.

Prepare to teach

If you are planning to teach our new GCSE Media Studies specification, our ‘Preparing to teach’ face-to-face and online events are a great place to start. Book your place for September.
